Garmin Bounce 2 Kids Smartwatch: LTE Connectivity and Amazon Music for Young Users

Garmin has launched the Bounce 2, a new LTE-connected smartwatch designed specifically for children, priced at $300/£260 with a $10/£10 monthly subscription. This smartphone alternative offers parents peace-of-mind features including two-way voice calling, text and voice messaging, real-time location tracking, and temporary geofencing alerts. The watch features a bright 1.2-inch AMOLED display, swim-friendly design, and built-in sports apps for tracking activities like running and cycling. A notable entertainment upgrade includes Amazon Music support for phone-free listening through the watch’s speaker or paired headphones. However, the device comes with a relatively short two-day battery life, which while better than Apple and Google’s kid-friendly alternatives, still requires frequent charging.

Apple Watch Series 11 Introduces Groundbreaking Hypertension Detection and Improved Battery Life

Apple has unveiled the Apple Watch Series 11, featuring revolutionary hypertension monitoring that works passively in the background using optical heart rate sensors to detect signs of chronic high blood pressure over 30-day periods. The watch also introduces Apple’s first native Sleep Score, providing users with a 0-100 rating based on over 5 million nights of sleep data analysis. Hardware improvements include a more durable, scratch-resistant display on aluminum models and extended 24-hour battery life, up from the previous 18-hour rating. The hypertension feature, pending FDA approval, will also be available on older models including Series 9 and Ultra 2 through the watchOS 26 update. Priced starting at $399, the Series 11 is available for pre-order now with store availability beginning September 19.
